Community Intelligence
YouTube has more educational videos than the US Library of Congress, but the Google algorithm that decides which videos are promoted and rated is not transparent. This has a profound impact on the popularity, earnings, and reputation of YouTube content creators.
Obscure algorithms designed to monetise our attention make it challenging for viewers to discover the content most valuable and appropriate to them.
Collaborative, transparent models of curation and rating will effectively democratise content. Using Evos, our community reward system, we will help users share their perspectives and values using ratings and feedback loops. Evos will be used within the platform permission system, giving participants the opportunity to influence; the weighting of community values, Impact Fund allocation, and budgetary and fee decisions.
Please see the Evos Whitepaper for more about our reward systems and feedback loops.
